MA Nordic, previously known as Bergstrand Innovation AB and then Contest Marketing AB, has over 35 years of experience, many of which were under the leadership of Karl G. Bergstrand, who was a well known leader of the NDT metals industry and long standing member of ASNT and the Swedish NDT Society. MA Nordic, now a Swedish subsidiary of Magnetic Analysis Corporation (MAC), USA, specializes in the design, manufacturing and sales of Nondestructive Testing equipment, systems, electronics, and other instruments.

Nordic, in conjunction with MAC provides NDT-equipment that is used as a means for quality control during the production process by tube, bar, wire, plate, and parts manufacturers. By applying automatic inspection and crack detection methods on steel and other ferrous and non-ferrous metal products, manufacturers can accurately separate non conforming metals from those that conform; according to industry specific standards and regulations.

By combining MAC’s 80 plus years of experience and two USA based test facilities with Nordic’s 35 plus years, Nordic can now offer a more complete program with flexible commercial arrangements and rentals as an alternative to purchasing. Over the years, Nordic has delivered and installed hundreds of turn-key systems throughout Europe, Asia, and the Americas and was one of the first companies to sell NDT equipment to China.

Products available are based on electromagnetic, inductive methods such as Eddy Current and Flux Leakage, as well as Ultrasonic inspection methods. Complete custom systems include test benches, feed systems including inlet and outlet conveyors, electronics, conductor control systems, paint markers, and water recirculation systems(for Ultrasonic).
